Stephany Turner Jones, MSW, GSW, Social Worker

Stephany Jones graduated from Southern University at New Orleans in May, 2007, earning a Master in Social Work. She joined the HHCD staff in January, 2008. Stephany is responsible for developing programs based on community needs. She also provides Trauma Focused counseling in the New Orleans area, under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Board Approved Certified Supervisor. Prior to HHCD, Stephany worked for Jefferson Parish Human Service Authority. She provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for youth at Bunche Academy. Stephany has deep roots in her community. She was a co-leader of an abstinence-based sex education program for five years. For many years, she provided a variety of youth services for her local church and presently, she volunteers at Trinity Christian Community, an urban ministry in New Orleans. On her free time, Stephany facilitates abstinence-based sex education services at Trinity Christian Community. She has a deep passion for the New Orleans community.
