Affiliations

United Way – Through a competitive process, HHCD has become a United Way Partner in the Greater New Orleans Area. HHCD received two, six-month, $15,000 grants to assist in providing trauma counseling at several locations in the area. As a United Way Partner, individuals may designate their United Way donations to HHCD at their places of employment.

 

Celebration Church – HHCD was established by Celebration Church as a faith-based, non-profit organization with 501c3 status to meet the psycho-social needs of the people in the New Orleans Area.

Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) - HHCD currently has three (3) contracts with JPHSA to provide an intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program, mental health counseling, and support groups of children of addicted parents.

 

 

Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) – HHCD has a Prevention contract with MHSD to provide Life Skills Training at Clark High School, Lafayette School, Hume Development, and Building Better Communities.

 

 

LANO (Louisiana Association of Non-Profit Organizations) – HHCD joined LANO in 2006 to participate in the many trainings they offer to strive for excellence as a non-profit organization.

 

 

LASACT (Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselors and Trainers) – The substance abuse counselors and prevention professional on staff with HHCD receive valuable training from this organization to assist in the addictions treatment and prevention programs we offer.

 

 

AACC (American Association of Christian Couselors) – HHCD sends its counseling staff and interns and practicum students to the AACD Conference held every two (2) years to learn the most up-to-date techniques in meeting the needs of our clients.
