Mission

Healing Hearts for Community Development (HHCD) is a separate 501c3 formed to carry out the psycho-social programs of Celebration Church. The mission of HHCD is to bring transformation to communities by providing help, hope and healing to individuals and families so they can live healthy, productive and contributing lives.

Vision
The vision of HHCD is to see the New Orleans area transformed in every way by facilitating change in the lives of individuals and families throughout the New Orleans region. Aspects of the vision include, but are not limited to, developing and facilitating the following psycho-social programs:

• Social and Emotional Counseling - particularly Trauma Counseling as a result of Hurricane Katrina
• Treatment and Recovery Support Services for Substance Abuse and various addictions
• Case Management for Disaster Recovery
• Development of a Counselor Training Center
• Adult Literacy Programs
• Life and Job Skills Training
• Programs for At-Risk Young Adults
• After-School Programs
• Mentoring
• Programs for Senior Adults

Goals - 2008

• Completion of 5-year Strategic Plan
• Headquarters facilities and operating costs for HHCD
• Expand counseling, substance abuse treatment and case management services
• Develop Life Transformation Centers throughout New Orleans Area
